Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

The Moran Avigny active in Intis politics was a Mirror Person who had replaced the original man by drawing him into a mirror and killing him. Wearing the minister's life, family, and public authority, the replacement served a hidden network linking the School of Truth, the Tamara family's Judgment branch, and government influence. The disguise was not merely visual: marriage, three children, office, and reputation became cover for an entity whose identity depended on secrecy and mirrored substitution (Chapters 2054–2142).

Lumian Lee's group exploited Moran's desires and habits to draw him into a controlled mirror-world confrontation. Captured and interrogated, he revealed portions of the network but was constrained by principles, contracts, and mystical restrictions from freely betraying its leader. Once the useful information was exhausted, the team killed him. His remains broke into mirror-like fragments, confirming that the official who died was the replacement rather than the original human Moran (Chapters 2144–2168, 2176, 2209, 2254).

Appearance and personality

Moran had dark-gray eyes, chiseled features, and the tailored appearance of a senior Intis official. He was disciplined, polished, and accustomed to authority. Under pressure he remained calculating and resistant rather than collapsing into confession, but his appetites and confidence in his double life gave his hunters the opening they needed (Chapters 2054, 2133–2160).

Pathways and abilities

Moran possessed the Arbiter pathway's Sequence 5 Disciplinary Paladin powers, allowing him to establish prohibitions or rules and punish violations. Such declarations were strongest when supported by coherent principles, but those principles could also bind his own choices. As a Mirror Person, he additionally moved through mirrors, used reflections and substitutions, and could attempt escape through the mirror world. The two systems were distinct: his Arbiter potion abilities should not be conflated with the Mirror Person's nature (Chapters 2133–2160).
