Father Montserrat is a priest aboard the ship headed from Port Santa who publicly preaches the Earth Mother while secretly carrying an invisible Child of God tied to the Great Mother. (Chapters 2036–2040 and 2045)

Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

Montserrat conducted orthodox-looking sermons and led passengers in praising the Earth and Mother of All Things. Lugano's observations and Lumian Lee's probing exposed an illusion of an oak and the priest cradling an unseen infant, revealing that his religious role concealed a far more dangerous pregnancy-like mystery. (Chapters 2036–2041)

When confronted, Montserrat drew the combatants into a weed-filled wilderness that isolated sound and battle effects and tried to preserve the invisible child. Lumian's Symphony of Hatred pierced his neck; his lifeless body was recovered on deck, while the child's umbilical remnant became evidence and a later resource in the investigation of the Great Mother. Appearance and personality

Montserrat presents himself as a composed cleric able to deliver a conventional sermon and reassure passengers. In secret he cradles the invisible child with protective devotion, maintaining his deception until Lumian's tests force open conflict. (Chapters 2036–2042)

Pathways and abilities

Montserrat is a Beyonder capable of creating a weed wilderness that restrains sound and the aftermath of battle while retaining special environmental effects. The domain is weaker than Paramita and cannot stop Teleportation or fully sever inside from outside; the corpus does not state his exact pathway or sequence, and the Invisible Child of God is a carried external entity rather than a normal personal power.
