Steel Maveti was Admiral of Blood’s second mate, a Rose School of Thought indulgence-faction pirate and a Zombie whose durability and brutality earned him a 6,000-pound bounty. (Chapters 518, 525, and 528)

Biography

Life in Klein's Era

Maveti pursued Danitz with Blood Brambles Hendry and Calm Squall, bringing puppets and zombies as guards while expecting to reverse Danitz’s trap. Instead, Danitz’s cooperation with Klein Moretti exposed Maveti’s group to a prepared ambush and approaching Mandated Punishers. (Chapters 518–526)

Klein isolated Maveti with paper substitutes, psychic attacks, holy light, and Sun Holy Water. Maveti kept charging despite melting flesh and severe spiritual injury, but the purifying assault killed him; Klein then carried away the corpse, Grazed his resisting spirit with Creeping Hunger, and left the remains and bounty notice for the authorities. (Chapters 527–528)

Appearance and personality

Maveti had dark skin, firm muscles, thick lips, and tightly curled hair likened to steel beads. He was physically aggressive, indulgent, and remorseless, relying on his abnormal endurance and close-combat superiority even after his rationality began collapsing under Klein’s attacks. (Chapters 527–528)

Pathways and abilities

As a Prisoner-pathway Zombie, Maveti possessed a steel-hard body, tenacious vitality, immense striking strength, cold and ice control, and the ability to command zombies. Physical contact could freeze or stiffen an enemy, while his fists carried a rotting aura; holy purification and direct Spirit Body damage were especially effective against him. (Chapters 527–528)

Relationships

  • Admiral of Blood: Maveti served as his second mate and belonged to the admiral’s pirate organization. (Chapter 533)
  • Hendry and Squall: They accompanied Maveti in the counterattack against Danitz and tried to protect or support him during Klein’s ambush. (Chapters 525–527)
  • Klein Moretti: Klein killed Maveti and Grazed his soul, later using Maveti’s strength, ice control, and zombie manipulation through Creeping Hunger. (Chapters 527–528 and 546)

Items

Maveti traveled on a peacock-blue Flying Carpet and carried ordinary cash and personal implements, but Klein’s inspection explicitly found no mystical item on him. His most consequential posthumous custody was within Creeping Hunger, which retained three of his Zombie powers. (Chapter 528)
