Isotope

Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

Isotope belonged to the Research Society's Academy group and reported that advancing to Sequence 6 had drawn him into more Beyonder encounters. He joined discussions with Professor and other transmigrators, considered offline meetings around Trier, and later participated in the society's response to Harrison, Mirror People, and the possibility of returning to their original world. Isotope rejected returning if it meant abandoning the achievement and attachments he had built in this life (Chapters 1810–2245)

When the Hidden Sage's knowledge infusion endangered the society's Warlocks, Isotope joined the Trier group that heard Lumian's warnings about special spirit-world summons. He later met Franca and Hela to consider a plan for ending that coercive influence. Though he doubted that a demigod could oppose the Hidden Sage, the promise of help from a still greater existence persuaded him to take the proposal seriously (Chapters 2488–2495)

Appearance and personality

At society gatherings, Isotope conceals his identity with mannequin headgear and fake heads on his shoulders. He is sociable, intellectually curious, and proud of the meaningful life he has built, while remaining appropriately anxious around forces far above his Sequence.

Pathways and abilities

Isotope is a Sequence 6 Warlock of the Mystery Pryer pathway. He receives forcibly infused occult knowledge from the Hidden Sage and can use the ritual and spellcasting repertoire associated with Warlocks. The corpus does not show a distinctive personal combat technique, and the knowledge infusion is as much a danger as an advantage.
