Life in Klein's Era

Helene was a sea merchant of Sauron descent who became entangled with Vice Admiral Ailment Tracy. Tracy captured her and forced an intimate relationship that Helene repeatedly tried to escape. A concealed arrangement involving Katarina eventually created an opening, but Helene refused plans that would reduce her to bait again; she prioritized permanent freedom and a return home over revenge or the ambitions of stronger Demonesses (Chapters 562–572, 668)

Klein later found and questioned Helene while following clues tied to Tracy and the Demoness Sect. He accepted that she wanted distance from the conflict and helped her board a ship bound for Intis, while later using her appearance as an impersonation in his own operation. Helene reached the route home alive, and no subsequent scene confirms that Tracy recaptured her (Chapters 696–709, 765, 1064–1067, 1108)

Appearance and personality

Helene is a striking woman with red hair, emerald-green eyes, healthy skin, and the robust bearing of someone accustomed to maritime life. She is proud, wary, and determined to reclaim control over her life. Captivity makes her cautious about every proposed alliance, and she refuses even potentially useful plans when they repeat the pattern of others deciding her fate (Chapters 562–572, 696–709)

Pathways and abilities

Helene is a Sequence 7 Pyromaniac of the Hunter pathway. She can create and control fire, form fireballs, improve the explosive effect of attacks, track or counter-track targets, and fight with the enhanced physique and instincts inherited from earlier Hunter Sequences. She is capable but remains outmatched by high-Sequence Demonesses and therefore relies on planning and concealment when escaping them (Chapters 562–572, 696–709)
