Harrison

Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

Harrison left Resurrection Island with the purpose of keeping its route secret, destroying authentic maps and eliminating people who knew how to reach it. Before that mission became known, he defeated and spared Burman, explained the islanders' repeated death and resurrection through special marks, and encouraged him to explore the Death pathway. The guidance gave Burman a way forward but also helped drive his increasingly dangerous experiments. (Chapters 1963, 2180)

Lumian Lee's investigations reveal that Harrison is already dead in an ordinary sense: divination shows his decaying corpse drifting from Resurrection Island, even while he remains active. Harrison later enters the Samaritan Women's Spring through its gray-fog barrier and uses a mixture of deathly influence, theft, substitutions, and anti-divination measures. His powers resist clean classification, leaving Lumian and Franca uncertain whether he is a Marauder using Death powers, a Death-pathway Beyonder marked by Celestial Worthy, or a practitioner of Resurrection Island's own system. (Chapters 2287, 2288, 2292, 2294)

Harrison then works with Voisin Sanson and Higdon to capture Lumian for Celestial Worthy's faction. He steals the Sword of Courage Cull and repeatedly diverts attacks through paper substitutes, but Amon intervenes and freezes both Harrison and Voisin in a special mirror world. Later testimony says the pair were killed multiple times, yet Harrison's distinct final fate is not independently shown. (Chapters 2303, 2305, 2307, 2308)

Appearance and personality

Harrison has light hair, pale skin, dark-brown eyes, and features identified as foreign to Intis. He dresses in a black robe and can carry a white candle, giving him a funerary, ritualistic presence. He is calm, secretive, and methodical: he spares useful people when it advances his aims, conceals Resurrection Island without hesitation, and confronts dangerous barriers with unsettling confidence. [Chapter 1963] [Chapter 2292]

Pathways and abilities

Harrison is not a demigod and possesses no established godhood, but his power set crosses familiar pathway boundaries. He radiates or manipulates deathly forces, can steal objects, powers, or incoming attacks, employs sinister Paper Figurine Substitutes, interferes with divination, and escapes or redirects danger through replacement effects. The corpus deliberately leaves the source ambiguous, so no single pathway or sequence can be assigned with confidence. [Chapter 2292] [Chapter 2293] [Chapter 2294] [Chapter 2305]

Relationships

Harrison acts as Burman's teacher and corrupter, providing knowledge that shapes Burman's later atrocities. He is allied with Voisin Sanson and Higdon under Celestial Worthy's oracle faction, while Lumian becomes the target they intend to seize. Amon decisively overpowers him, demonstrating the limits of Harrison's layered survival methods. [Chapter 1963] [Chapter 2303] [Chapter 2307]

Items

Harrison carries a white candle during his entry into the Samaritan Women's Spring. He temporarily steals the Sword of Courage Cull from Lumian, but it is not his permanent possession. Although observers suspect he may have additional powerful equipment, no personal Sealed Artifact is conclusively identified. [Chapter 2292] [Chapter 2305]
