Biography

Life in Klein's Era

Glaint inherited his viscountcy while still young after his father's death. Wealth, title, and fascination with mysticism made him an eager host for private gatherings, and he connected Audrey Hall with Fors Wall and Xio Derecha. His enthusiasm sometimes exceeded his caution, but his houses and introductions gave several young Beyonders a relatively protected place to exchange formulas, ingredients, and information (Chapters 102–332).

He purchased the Apothecary potion formula and worked to collect its ingredients, yet the corpus never confirms that he drank the potion. Glaint also used money generously: he offered practical support and interest-free loans rather than treating every relationship as a transaction. Later, Audrey used his mansion in the plan against Hvin Rambis without drawing Glaint into the true danger. He remained alive, socially connected, and interested in mysticism, but his confirmed status stops short of Beyonder advancement (Chapters 403–568, 994, 1048–1054, 1317).

Appearance and personality

Glaint is a thin young nobleman, around twenty during his earliest appearances, with the polished dress expected of a viscount. He can be vain, showy, and pleased by the appearance of esoteric knowledge. He is also hospitable, sincere toward friends, and willing to put his money and property at their disposal. His flaws are those of privileged enthusiasm more often than malice (Chapters 102–332).

Pathways and abilities

No Sequence or supernatural power is confirmed for Glaint. He owns the Apothecary formula and gathers ingredients, but possession of a formula is not evidence that he consumed the potion. His demonstrated advantages are ordinary wealth, title, social access, and an amateur's growing mysticism knowledge (Chapters 288–404).
