Donna

Donna is Urdi Branch’s daughter and Denton’s elder sister, a curious child who encounters Gehrman Sparrow during her family’s voyage aboard the White Agate and their disastrous stop at Bansy Harbor. (Chapters 493–495 and 501–517)

Biography

Life in Klein's Era

Donna and Denton slipped into an illicit nighttime excursion at Bansy under Cleves’s protection, where they saw the town’s blood cuisine and dangerous local customs before returning to the White Agate. Her curiosity and enthusiasm persisted even around unsettling sights, but Klein Moretti, Captain Elland, and the adults repeatedly shielded her from the full supernatural danger. (Chapters 493–497)

When the White Agate returned to Bansy during the crisis, Donna’s family became trapped amid headless figures, monsters, and violent supernatural attacks. Donna endured being flung through the air and followed “Uncle Sparrow’s” protective directions; she survived, returned home, and later continued sketching even as public reports branded Gehrman Sparrow a cultist and murderer. (Chapters 501–517 and 737)

Appearance and personality

Donna is a young girl in children’s clothing who practices sketching. She is talkative, inquisitive, food-loving, and brave enough to remain fascinated by adventure, although the horrors of Bansy understandably frighten and overwhelm her. (Chapters 493–497, 507–512, and 737)

Pathways and abilities

Donna is an ordinary human. She shows no potion, boon, ritual power, or supernatural combat ability; her survival at Bansy depends on the adults and Beyonders protecting her. (Chapters 501–517)
