Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

Clarice was a colored Demoness of Unaging sent to manage Trier's Demoness Sect members, maintain collaborators, and suppress Mirror People. She supervised Browns Sauron and cultivated Franca as a useful subordinate, supplying formulas, ingredients, intelligence, and conditional support while keeping the Sect's deepest aims compartmentalized. Her measured rewards helped Franca advance, but also bound that progress to loyalty toward the Primordial Demoness (Chapters 1849–2234)

When Franca opposed the Demoness Sect near the apocalypse, Clarice fought her through the mirror world and weaponized hidden honorific names to disrupt her mind. Clarice later wore the Calamity of Crimson and fought Sharron, escaping one annihilation through mirrored resurrection. The Box of the Great Old Ones ultimately sent her to the Underworld, where she perished. A dormant mirror initially preserved a route to revival, but the mirror world's collapse likely destroyed it before resurrection completed, leaving Clarice presumed truly dead (Chapters 2538–2577)

Appearance and personality

Clarice is an exceptionally beautiful woman with dark-gray eyes, delicate fair skin, red lips, and a slightly sorrowful expression. She favors black court dresses, hats, and veils, though hunting clothes give her a fresher, more dashing bearing. She is composed, secretive, maternally indulgent toward Browns, and capable of shifting her charm from sensual to holy restraint. Her gentleness remains subordinate to the Sect's cause (Chapters 1849, 2061, 2185–2234)

Pathways and abilities

Clarice is a Sequence 3 Demoness of Unaging. She possesses demigod-level charm, petrification, curses, black flames, mirror travel and substitution, dormant-mirror resurrection, control of a mirror self, and resistance founded on centuries of emotional regulation. These powers still require valid mirror anchors, and resurrection takes time. The special mirror world's wider authority belongs to higher powers and the Demoness Sect's legacy, not solely to Clarice (Chapters 2185, 2327–2328, 2538–2577)
