Christo

Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

Christo oversees smuggling for the Savoie Mob and belongs to the Iron and Blood Cross Order. When a shipment and his brother Erkin disappear in Trier's underground, he asks the mob for help because the loss threatens both his family and his position. Erkin returns, and Christo accepts him with relief, unaware that the man is likely a mirror replacement rather than the brother who vanished. (Chapters 1617, 1623)

After a crackdown sends him to prison, pressure from Gardner Martin and Hugues Artois secures Christo's release. He resumes work as an intermediary, using trained animals and underground contacts to help track Guillaume Bénet. At the same time, he recognizes that stronger patrons can discard him, so he quietly seeks the Cave Association as a second network and a possible route to further advancement. (Chapters 1665, 1742, 1757, 1845)

Appearance and personality

Christo is barely 1.6 meters tall, with a thin face, short dark-brown shirt, thick gray-black hair, dark-blue anxious eyes, and whisker-like facial hair that supports his nickname. He is cautious, opportunistic, and acutely aware of hierarchy: he avoids provoking the powerful, exploits the weak when useful, and refuses to stake his whole survival on a single protector. His concern for Erkin is genuine, but relief makes him vulnerable to deception. [Chapter 1617] [Chapter 1623] [Chapter 1845]

Pathways and abilities

Christo is a Sequence 8 Beast Tamer. He can train and direct rats, dogs, parrots, and other animals for tracking, observation, communication, and smuggling support. These abilities give him excellent coverage of streets and tunnels, but they do not make him a high-level combatant, which explains his reliance on alliances and escape routes. [Chapter 1703] [Chapter 1742] [Chapter 1845]

Relationships

Erkin is Christo's brother and the reason he first draws Lumian Lee's circle into the missing shipment case. Gardner Martin is his dangerous superior within the Iron and Blood Cross Order, while Hugues Artois's political influence helps free him. Christo cooperates with the Savoie Mob but cultivates the Cave Association to avoid complete dependence on Gardner. [Chapter 1617] [Chapter 1665] [Chapter 1845]

Items

Christo's trained rats, dogs, and parrots are his most important operational assets, supported by ordinary smuggling goods and concealed routes. No named personal mystical item is established. [Chapter 1742] [Chapter 1757]
