Chogo

Biography

Life in Klein's Era

Chogo served as the diocese bishop at Bayam's Cathedral of Waves and supervised Alger Wilson's covert Church work. He approved Alger's attacks on pirates, received his reports through the cover of confession, supplied intelligence about Sea God Kalvetua's collapse, and ordered him to trace both the Bansy anomaly and the person who removed Kalvetua's key relic. These exchanges made Chogo an important official conduit while Alger concealed his growing allegiance to the Tarot Club (Chapters 520–551)

When Alger prepared to report directly to the Church's upper echelons, he first returned to Chogo to preserve the chain of command. Chogo assured him that he had already praised Alger's loyalty to Cardinal Jahn Kottman, then assigned further investigations involving Crazy Captain Connors Viktor and Gehrman Sparrow. His confidence in Alger therefore helped advance a subordinate whose true network remained hidden from him (Chapter 712)

Appearance and personality

Chogo is grizzled but hale and carries the authority expected of a senior Storm Church cleric. He is brisk, hierarchical, and quick to reward apparent loyalty, but turns stern when Alger approaches forbidden Fourth Epoch information.

Pathways and abilities

Chogo is a bishop-ranked member of the Church of the Lord of Storms, but the supplied corpus does not identify his pathway or Sequence. His demonstrated strengths are institutional authority, access to Church intelligence, and command over Mandated Punisher field assignments; no personal supernatural technique is shown.
