Biography

Life in Klein's Era

Bishop Millet led the Storm cathedral in Bansy while secretly heading the revival of Binsy’s cannibalistic sacrifices. When Priest Jayce discovered the heresy, Millet decapitated him, converted servants into monsters, and joined the battle around the ancient mountaintop altar. Wounded by the Mandated Punishers, he returned toward town pretending to be a survivor and tried to lure Elland’s group into lowering their guard (Chapter 510)

Klein’s divination exposed Millet’s hostile intent. The bishop attacked with hurricanes, wind blades, and six headless servants, but Azik’s whistle diverted the monsters while Klein forced Millet into a loss of control and killed him with Creeping Hunger. His characteristic was returned to surviving Mandated Punishers, and the Church opened an investigation into his fall. Millet Carter, the archaeological client seen in Chapters 258–279, is an unrelated person whose surname caused an erroneous match (Chapters 511–512, 527)

Appearance and personality

Millet is a pale middle-aged man in dark-blue bishop’s robes, carrying a hurricane lamp when he approaches the survivors. He can imitate an injured clergyman’s restraint, but beneath the performance he is calculating, murderous, and committed to Bansy’s ancient sacrificial customs. Corruption makes his eyes glow dark red and, when control breaks, aquatic tentacles erupt from his body.

Bishop Millet follows the Tyrant pathway and is likely a Sequence 6 Wind-blessed, though the narration does not state the Sequence with certainty. He creates powerful gales, dense volleys of wind blades, and supports headless servants through storm effects. Severe corruption leaves him highly vulnerable to losing control when Klein drives his mind into frenzy.
