Bilt
Biography
Life in Klein's Era
Bilt Brando retired from pirate hunting to own Oravi’s Sweet Lemon Bar and founded a loose Adventurer Association for mutual aid and fair trading. He recognized Gehrman Sparrow’s value, sold him materials, and used his Artisan contacts, but soon faced a more dangerous obligation: finding a temporary double for Admiral Amyrius Rieveldt. When the original candidate died, Bilt chose the feared Faceless adventurer rather than abandon his business and flee (Chapters 614–621)
Amyrius immediately recognized that the replacement was a Beyonder and forced Bilt to admit his under-the-table substitution. The admiral pardoned the first mistake but demanded renewed loyalty, leaving Bilt to contain compromised subordinates and wait anxiously for the mission’s result. After Amyrius returned without punishing him, Bilt ended his surveillance of the vanished Gehrman and remained alive in control of the bar and association (Chapters 622–637)
Appearance and personality
Bilt is a middle-aged man with neatly combed blond hair, blue eyes, a black shirt, and a habitual cigar. He appears sincere and affable while recruiting adventurers but can turn cold and intimidating when business is threatened. Comfortable retirement has dulled his former fearlessness, yet he remains decisive when delay would destroy everything he built.
Pathways and abilities
Bilt is assessed in the corpus as a Mid-Sequence Beyonder and a once-formidable pirate hunter, but his pathway and exact Sequence are never confirmed. He has combat experience, sharp judgment, organizational authority, and access to Beyonder guards and Artisans. No specific supernatural power is demonstrated directly.
