Antiona

Antiona was a wine-red-haired member of the City of Silver expedition that left the Forsaken Land of the Gods. Her thoughtful hope that recovering the truth of history might restore divine favor ended abruptly when she became one of the expedition's first casualties outside the Giant King's Court. (Chapters 1114–1120)

Biography

Life in Klein's Era

While traveling with Chief Colin Iliad's team, Antiona considered whether giants and humans were branches of the same ancient species. She supported further exploration because learning the truth might cause the City's Lord to look upon them again, tying historical inquiry directly to her community's survival and faith. (Chapters 1114–1118)

Antiona used Placate to steady Derrick Berg during the dangerous journey. When the expedition finally emerged and saw the sea, she had barely begun to voice her wonder before an invisible silver attack cut her apart; the survivors destroyed her mutilated remains to prevent further danger. (Chapters 1119–1120)

Appearance and personality

Antiona had distinctive wine-red hair. She was reflective and devout, engaging with ancient history as a practical question about the City of Silver's relationship with its Lord rather than as detached curiosity. (Chapters 1114–1118)

Pathways and abilities

Antiona followed the Spectator pathway and could use Placate to settle another person's emotions. Her exact Sequence and any further abilities are not stated, and her powers gave no protection against the unseen attack that killed her. (Chapters 1119–1120)

Relationships

Antiona served under Colin Iliad alongside Derrick, Lovia, Haim, and the other expedition members. Her use of Placate on Derrick reflects her supportive role within a group whose members depended on one another to cross an unknown world. (Chapters 1114–1120)

Items

Antiona carried the expedition's ordinary supplies and equipment, but the corpus assigns her no named weapon, potion, or mystical artifact. Her remains were deliberately burned after death as a safety measure. (Chapter 1120)
