Anna

Anna was the fiancée of Joyce Meyer, a passenger missing after the Alfalfa maritime disaster. Her request for divination brought the case to Klein Moretti, and Joyce's return later helped expose the murderer Tris through survivor testimony. (Chapters 54–55 and 80–81)

Biography

Life in Klein's Era

With the Alfalfa overdue and Joyce's fate unknown, Anna consulted Klein for divination. Though anxious and initially hesitant, she accepted the reading's hope that her fiancé remained alive. (Chapters 54–55)

Joyce returned as one of the ship's survivors and reunited with Anna. She celebrated both his survival and their engagement with friends, creating the social occasion at which his account of Tris's conduct supplied the Nighthawks with a crucial lead. (Chapters 80–81 and 124)

Appearance and personality

Anna was a young woman with beautiful eyes who wore a veiled cap when she sought Klein's help. Her conduct was earnest and devoted: fear made her cautious about the divination, but concern for Joyce outweighed her uncertainty. (Chapters 54–55)

Anna was an ordinary human with no pathway, Sequence, boon, or supernatural ability. She relied on Klein's divination and the official investigation rather than possessing occult means of her own. (Chapters 54–55 and 124)
