Amandina

Biography

Cordu, Trier, and the Approaching Apocalypse

Amandina was a young woman from a wealthy Tizamo plantation family. Her fiancé Robert took her to Twanaku's black tomb during the Dream Festival, where the Underworld Daoist bestowed dream powers without requiring a potion. When the festival's repeating nightmare pulled her into danger, Amandina initially sought escape but recovered enough composure to cooperate with Lumian Lee's group. She used her new powers against Padre Cali and approached the tomb despite the memories and pressure surrounding it (Chapters 2100–2131).

Contact with the tomb restored dormant pieces of what had happened and brought a direct warning from the Underworld Daoist. Amandina later traveled to Trier and remained connected to Franca and Jenna's investigation, including the route toward the Samaritan Woman's Spring and warnings involving Harrison and Penglai. She survived these encounters and retained the boon, ending the supplied corpus alive rather than returning to an untouched civilian life (Chapters 2238, 2281–2292).

Appearance and personality

Amandina is a beautiful young woman with azure eyes and the polished dress expected of a wealthy plantation family. She is usually cheerful, lively, and optimistic, sometimes to the point of naïveté. Under supernatural pressure she can panic, but she also regains control, evaluates allies, and takes risks once she understands that flight alone will not solve the threat (Chapters 2100–2131).

Pathways and abilities

Amandina did not consume a potion. The Underworld Daoist granted a boon roughly equivalent to the Evernight pathway's Nightmare level, allowing her to force targets into sleep and enter or act within dreams. She has keen spiritual perception, but her sleeping physical body remains vulnerable, she must locate or reach appropriate targets, and pain or strong disturbance can wake participants. Her boon should not be described as confirmed membership in the orthodox pathway (Chapters 2106–2131).
