Sanctum Head Token

The Sanctum Head Token is the authentic insignia identifying the chosen head of the Sanctum of Sages. It contains predecessor wills and scholarly aura, outranks Deputy Sanctum Head Tokens, and is sealed behind three qualifications intended to turn its recipient into a fully recognized sanctum head. History

Sage Kui's sealed appointment

After Zhang Xuan clears his test, Sage Kui gives him the genuine token but forbids public use until three seals are broken: Zhang must become an 8-star master teacher, reach Saint 8-dan, and cultivate the Eye of Insight to Demon Vanquisher. The hidden appointment lets him develop authority through merit before inauguration. The token also transports him into and out of Sage Kui's inheritance space as he works toward those conditions. Recognition before public inauguration

Although stored in a ring, the token's unique aura lets Yang Xuan trace and identify Zhang. During a confrontation, Zhan shi's Deputy Sanctum Head Token senses the higher authority and bows rather than attack, exposing Zhang as the true candidate before every seal is formally resolved. Zhang later acts publicly as sanctum head and shows a substitute token when official identification is required, while the original's later physical custody is not separately transferred. Abilities and properties

The token carries the wills of Sanctum predecessors, projects authority over subordinate tokens, defends its bearer, and serves as a key to the inheritance dimension. Its aura can be traced by senior Master Teacher Pavilion figures even through a storage ring. The three seals withhold full command privileges until cultivation, professional rank, and Eye of Insight requirements are met; possession alone therefore marks candidacy rather than instant administrative mastery.
