Zhu Jinhuang

Biography

Rivalry at the Beast Hall

Zhu mocks Yun Tao for apparently borrowing Zhang Xuan's Gold Alloyed Panther and expects the examination rules to eliminate him. Although an apprentice beast tamer with a trained eye, Zhu repeatedly misreads Zhang Xuan's unconventional methods: he doubts that beating the Viridescent Eagle could aid its evolution and assumes an exploded cauldron means failed pills. The beast's breakthrough and the completed pills leave him publicly embarrassed but alive. (Chapters 241–260)

Appearance and personality

Zhu is a proud young royal, competitive over both beast taming and Mo Yu's attention. He is quick to ridicule rivals and slow to consider unfamiliar explanations. (Chapters 241–253)

Abilities and cultivation

As an apprentice beast tamer, he has better beast discernment than ordinary guards and presents a beast above his own realm for examination. (Chapters 241–253)
