Ying Qin

Ying Qin is Xue Zhenyang's strongest subordinate and a leading spear user among Hongyuan Academy's Grade-4 students. (Chapters 780–786)

Biography

Defeat and change of faction

Ying leads Yuan Gang and Bai Mian in challenging the Xuanxuan Faction, but insists on fair stakes and warns his companions not to abuse Zhang Xuan's freshmen. A student wielding a feather duster exploits the flaws in Ying's spear art and defeats him. Impressed by both the students' skill and Zhang Xuan's principles, Ying honors the wager, leaves the True Helios Faction, and joins the Xuanxuan Faction rather than treating the loss as humiliation alone. Ying is a disciplined senior: proud of his strength, cautious about political consequences, and honorable enough to fulfill a costly wager. (Chapters 780–786)
