Defeat by Zheng Yang

Offended when Hongyuan's students criticize the examiners, Wu Xu steps forward and agrees to suppress his cultivation for a direct fight. He expects his greater realm and combat-master training to dominate, but Zheng Yang overpowers him, seals his movements with precise spearwork, disarms him, and forces him to admit defeat. Wu Xuanzi, the painter and beast tamer discussed in Chapter 464, is a different person. (Chapter 940)
