Sword Saint Xing

Sword Saint Xing, whose personal name is Zhang Zhenxing, is the head of the Zhang Clan, the husband of Sword Saint Meng, and the father of Zhang Xuan. “Xingmeng Sword Saint” is a collective title formed from the couple's names, not a third person. He is an anxious father beneath the authority of a clan head. After losing his infant son for twenty years, he turns the clan's resources toward finding him and later tries to restore the family relationship without denying the harm caused by the clan's failed engagement arrangements. Biography

Searching for the missing young prodigy

Sword Saint Xing and Sword Saint Meng spend two decades searching for the son who vanished as an infant. Xing invites every available 9-star seer to the Zhang Clan, treating even uncertain divinations as worthwhile leads. In the meantime, the clan preserves the absent child's position as its young prodigy and arranges his engagement to Luo Ruoxin, decisions intended to protect his inheritance but made without the adult Zhang Xuan's knowledge. When the couple investigates Zhang Xuan as a possible lead, Sword Saint Xing is initially caught between evidence and caution. At the Zhang Clan, Zhang Xuan has already defeated elders and dismantled prized formations while seeking satisfaction for the engagement dispute. Xing accepts Zheng Yang's challenge on the clan's behalf and then faces Zhang Xuan directly. The duel ends with Zhang Xuan unraveling the Three Swords of the Grim Reaper and forcing him back; rather than hide behind clan dignity, Xing admits defeat and accepts that the clan must apologize. Recognizing a son amid clan conflict

Sword Saint Xing notices that Zhang Xuan can use the clan's bloodline power and finally states that the young man is likely his missing son. Once the evidence is confirmed, he immediately prepares the ancestral acknowledgement and inauguration rather than treating Zhang Xuan as an enemy who happened to share his blood. That welcome does not erase the awkwardness of their reunion: Zhang Xuan is already independent, and the parents' attempt to revive the Luo Clan engagement soon collides with the revelation that Zhang Xuan and Luo Ruoxin have chosen one another under very different circumstances. As the relationship settles, Xing often acts as the calmer parent. He recognizes that Zhang Xuan has reason to avoid the Luo Clan after its public humiliation and argues against forcing contact merely to satisfy the older generation. When Luo Ruoxin leaves after the engagement crisis, however, he and Meng pursue her because they understand that losing her would wound their son. The Temple of Confucius and the path upward

Inside the Temple of Confucius, Sword Saint Xing guides Zhang Xuan through sites connected to Soul Depth, the Celestial Amulet of Legacy, and the requirements for reaching Ancient Sage. He enters at Sempiternal realm consummation and knows that the ancient world's atmosphere can support a breakthrough, but also warns that environment alone cannot replace cultivation and comprehension. After the expedition, Zhang Xuan improves the couple's collaborative sword art and gives them sealed Aeon of Ancient Sage so they can cross the remaining bottleneck. (Chapters 1,693–1,737, 1,783)

The couple later advances to Ancient Sage 4-dan and follows Zhang Xuan through the passage to the Azure rather than accept another long separation. Before the journey to the Firmament, Zhang Xuan transfers power extracted from Kong shi's hostile clone into both parents, raising them to Heavenly Semi-Divinity and refining their bodies with divine energy. Xing also receives Zhang Xuan's higher swordsmanship insights. He and Meng enter Zhang Xuan's folded space for the ascent; the corpus records no later independent breakthrough or death. Appearance and personality

Sword Saint Xing is a mature man whose presence and sword aura reflect his position at the head of the continent's foremost Sage Clan. He normally appears beside Sword Saint Meng, and the story emphasizes the coordination of the pair more often than individual dress or facial detail. His personal name, Zhang Zhenxing, is used when Meng angrily addresses him rather than as his normal public title. (Chapters 1,507–1,581)

He is proud of his clan and swordsmanship but capable of conceding when the evidence is against him. His defeat by Zhang Xuan is humiliating, yet he honors the result, identifies the family connection, and arranges public recognition. He is protective enough to destroy a power that once insulted his wife, but around Meng he is frequently cautious, affectionate, and comically afraid of provoking her jealousy. Toward Zhang Xuan, his strongest traits are patience and regret. He wants the intimacy denied by twenty years of separation, yet increasingly trusts his son's judgment and acknowledges the clan's share of blame in the Luo conflict. Xingmeng swordsmanship

Sword Saint Xing is an elite swordsman whose individual art includes the Three Swords of the Grim Reaper. Zhang Xuan can perceive and unravel the technique before Xing's blade lands, so the duel demonstrates both its sharpness and its vulnerability to superior insight. Xing's greater reputation comes from combining his swordsmanship with Meng's. Their complementary art is powerful enough to alarm headquarters elders, but its full strength requires the pair to coordinate rather than either spouse acting alone. (Chapters 1,420, 1,545–1,548)

Zhang Xuan later revises the collaborative art using knowledge from the Temple of Confucius and, in the Azure, transmits broader sword comprehension to both parents. These are upgrades received from their son rather than techniques Xing originally created. The latest account says their fighting prowess grows rapidly after assimilating the insights, but does not show either parent using a named God-tier sword art independently. (Chapters 1,783, 2,103)

Cultivation and clan knowledge

Xing reaches Sempiternal realm consummation before the Temple expedition. A pill from Zhang Xuan clears meridian blockages that had obstructed the breakthrough, while the Heart Pavilion and ancient-world fragment help him temper Soul Depth and prepare for Ancient Sage. He later reaches Ancient Sage 4-dan, then Heavenly Semi-Divinity through power Zhang Xuan extracts from Kong shi's clone. As clan head, Xing understands the Zhang bloodline's time manipulation, the clan's formations, and the institutions surrounding the Temple of Confucius.
