Biography

The Primal Lodestone bargain

Hao Xun refuses to enter a political struggle merely on Wu Chen's request, but his attempt to assimilate a Primal Lodestone has stiffened his body and obstructed his zhenqi. Zhang Xuan removes the lodestone's will and resolves the resulting trauma, leaving Hao Xun able to use it safely as an artifact. The cure and Zhang's connection to the Spirit God win Hao Xun's deference and support; he then accompanies the coalition and accepts Wu Chen's final political decision. (Chapters 1,792–1,796, 1,840)
