Ruo Qingyuan

Ruo Qingyuan is the hall master of Hongyuan Empire's secluded Poison Hall and the senior poison master who receives its supposed founder. (Chapters 1,004–1,010)

Biography

Submission to the founder

Ruo Qingyuan kneels when Zhang Xuan's disguise and poison mastery appear to establish him as the founder's successor. The hall master's loyalty is complicated by his protection of his own student and by internal disputes, but he ultimately recognizes the authority demonstrated before the Poison Hall. Later testimony says Ruo Qingyuan ordered the treacherous Ming Zhen executed; Ming Zhen survives only because the disciple assigned to the task secretly lets him escape. (Chapters 1,004–1,147)

Appearance and personality

He is formal, protective of his institution and students, and capable of harsh punishment when he believes the Poison Hall has been betrayed. (Chapters 1,004–1,147)
