Biography
The Lucid Lunar Lake contest
Xun-er uses Ling-er's previous fifteen-minute limit in the Lucid Lunar Lake to undermine her claim and enters the clan's talent tests confident of victory. The patriarch tests both women with a deliberately flawed battle technique, expecting adaptation rather than rote practice. Xun-er fails to match the improvements enabled by Zhang Xuan's guidance and is overwhelmed when Ling-er endures the lake far beyond expectation. The loss leaves her shocked and collapsed, not dead. (Chapters 2,152–2,157)
Appearance and personality
Xun-er is controlled and mocking at first, carrying a long grievance against the rival branch; unexpected results break that composure. (Chapters 2,152–2,157)
Abilities and cultivation
She is talented enough to compete in the Qi succession tests and interpret advanced techniques, but proves less adaptable than Ling-er. (Chapters 2,153–2,157)
