Ming Zhen

Ming Zhen is a Jingyuan City Poison Hall vice head and the teacher who protects the arrogant Duan Ren. (Chapters 997–999)

Biography

Coercion, testimony, and death

Ming moves against the disguised Sun Qiang after Duan Ren is beaten, only to be subdued in the Poison Hall upheaval. He later reports the butler to Qingyuan authorities and becomes part of the case used against Zhang Xuan. Under poison and political pressure, Ming reverses his statement, accusing King Zhongqing and Vice Pavilion Master Tian of coercing him and pleading for the imprisoned poison masters. He is detained as a witness, then dies mysteriously in the Master Teacher Pavilion's prison before the conspiracy can be fully adjudicated. (Chapters 997–999, 1,147–1,152, and 1,178)

Appearance and personality

Ming is a white-bearded man in his sixties, dressed in black with a chilling face. His loyalty is compromised by fear, poison, and factional pressure. (Chapters 997 and 1,152)

Abilities and cultivation

He is a 7-star primary poison master at Saint 2-dan primary stage with institutional authority, but stronger opponents quickly overwhelm him. (Chapters 997–999)
