Luo Ganzhen

Luo Ganzhen is a senior Luo Clan leader who tries to restore the clan's standing after Zhang Xuan's disrupted wedding and rejection of its alliance. His search for a new master of the Spatial Quintessence of Sealing places him at the center of the Luo Tianya episode. (Chapters 1,592–1,622)

Biography

Preserving the Luo Clan

Ganzhen first treats the unknown cultivator who has mastered Sealing as a solution to the Luo Clan's humiliation, even proposing marriage and leadership to bind that person to the clan. He accepts the disguised Zhang Xuan as Luo Tianya, opens clan resources to him, and then watches the supposed new leader prove unable to defeat Zhang Xuan, forcing a more sober assessment of political reality. Ganzhen later uses his own improved spatial comprehension to help Ren Qingyuan and Jiang Fangyou scout the Otherworldly battlefield, where they discover the annihilated invading army. Appearance and personality

He is an older clan authority whose cold pride after the failed wedding gives way to pragmatic concern for the clan's survival. He can be coercive when defending inherited secrets, but he also recognizes superior power and accepts dangerous reconnaissance duties. (Chapters 1,592–1,619 and 1,656–1,689)

Abilities and cultivation

Ganzhen is an advanced cultivator of the Luo Clan's spatial heritage. His concealment can hide a group from opponents who do not exceed his cultivation, but it is not proof against stronger enemies or flawless investigation. (Chapters 1,656 and 1,688–1,690)
