Liu Ling
Liu Ling is one of three visiting master teachers who evaluate the remarkable teaching events in Tianxuan Kingdom. (Chapters 168–235, 299–343)
Biography
Recognizing a teacher beyond his rank
He arrives expecting to assess and possibly recruit Zhang Xuan, then witnesses student loyalty, medical insight, and examination results that repeatedly exceed his framework. Liu Ling helps validate Zhang Xuan's standing and later leads Pavilion Master Jiang to meet him in Tianwu, spreading the young teacher's reputation beyond the local academy. (Chapters 168–235, 299–343)
Appearance and personality
He is formal, observant, and capable of admitting that a supposed junior has surpassed what he can impart. (Chapters 168–235, 299–343)
Abilities and cultivation
His master-teacher rank and experience let him recognize the Honest and Righteous Mind and evaluate teaching phenomena. Those abilities make him a credible witness, not an equal to Zhang Xuan's Library-derived instruction. (Chapters 168–235, 299–343)
Relationships
Zhuang Xian and Zheng Fei are his fellow evaluators. Zhang Xuan changes from candidate to the exceptional teacher Liu Ling introduces to higher institutions. (Chapters 168–235, 299–343)
