Jiang Qingqin
Jiang Qingqin is the long-serving head of Hongyuan Master Teacher Academy's Demonic Tunist School. Known for exceptional composure, he initially withholds judgment on Zhang Xuan until he can assess the young teacher directly. (Chapters 821–824)
Biography
The Phoenix Timber challenge
Zhang Xuan seeks the core of a Phoenix Timber Tree planted by Jiang five centuries earlier. Jiang offers it if Zhang can raise his performance from the Attainment of Six Cranes to Seven Cranes, but Zhang's elementary questions and beast-taming-like solution repeatedly disrupt his expectations before succeeding. The encounter ultimately results in Jiang accepting Zhang's capability and forming a teacher-student bond with him, after which Jiang supports academy affairs under Zhang's principalship. Appearance and personality
Jiang is an elderly school head famous for an even temper; colleagues recall that even a disciple's betrayal did not provoke an outburst. Zhang Xuan's treatment of his cranes and zither nevertheless pushes that restraint, revealing pride in his art beneath his calm exterior. (Chapters 823–825)
Abilities and cultivation
Jiang is an expert demonic tunist whose zither playing initially reaches the Attainment of Six Cranes. He maintains his instrument with zhenqi, understands the musical nurturing of beasts, and possesses the cultivation expected of one of the academy's school heads. (Chapters 823–825, 896)
