Inferno Qilin

The Inferno Qilin is a proud saint beast carrying the Ancient Qilin Bloodline. The Zhang Clan confines it for years after failing to tame it, until Zhang Xuan turns its hostility toward the people responsible for its captivity. (Chapter 1,442)

Biography

From captive beast to contracted ally

Zhang Xuan enters the cage despite the Inferno Qilin's history of injuring beast tamers. He offers freedom, revenge against its captors, and bloodline cleansing; after testing his claims, the Qilin willingly acknowledges him as master and obeys his order to halt an attack. Zhang Xuan subsequently feeds it cultivation resources and pills, enabling it to advance alongside his other beasts before the ancient-domain expedition. (Chapters 1,442–1,445, 1,583)

Appearance and personality

The Inferno Qilin is an imposing fire-aligned beast with an immense ego. It is aggressive toward confinement and initially suspicious of persuasion, but becomes almost ingratiating once convinced that Zhang Xuan can improve its bloodline. It remains combative while accepting direct orders. (Chapters 1,442–1,445)

Abilities and cultivation

Its Ancient Qilin Bloodline gives it powerful fire-oriented combat strength and high potential. It can consume and assimilate potent pills rapidly, and Zhang Xuan's resources raise its cultivation to Saint 9-dan. Its pride and appetite can still make it easy to manipulate.
