Hu Qing

Hu Qing is a name used by two distinct-looking master teachers in the corpus. The first is a four-star pinnacle master teacher from a remote Qingyuan Tier-2 Empire who needs one final point to pass an examination; the second is the green-robed person-in-charge of the Sanctum of Sages' Hall of Propriety centuries higher in status and cultivation. Nothing in the text connects their identities, so their episodes are kept separate here. (Chapters 725, 1,389–1,390)

Biography

An examination candidate and a Hall elder

The earlier Hu Qing cannot obtain the last point needed to clear his examination and even kneels before another candidate, only to be rejected. Zhang Xuan gives him the point without demanding service, moving Hu Qing to name him a benefactor. Much later, Elder Hu Qing sees uncontrolled lightning threaten the Hall of Propriety, orders the Grand Defensive Formation activated, and tries to move the cultivator undergoing the Dimension Sundering Ordeal away from the Hall of Integrity. Zhang Xuan's intervention and the bizarre tribulation repeatedly surprise the elder, but he continues organizing the defense. (Chapters 725, 1,389–1,390)

Appearance and personality

The examination candidate is desperate enough to sacrifice pride but responds to unconditioned aid with sincere gratitude. The Hall elder is rule-conscious, decisive, and inclined to treat heavenly ordeals as forces that should not be provoked. These different contexts reinforce why the shared name should not be treated as proof of a single continuous career. (Chapters 725, 1,389–1,390)

Abilities and cultivation

The first Hu Qing is a four-star pinnacle master teacher at Clarifying Turbidity advanced stage. The later elder commands the Hall of Propriety's Grand Defensive Formation and its elders, but cannot control the tribulation itself and must react to Zhang Xuan's unconventional interference. (Chapters 725, 1,389–1,390)

Relationships

Zhang Xuan rescues the examination candidate's prospects and later becomes the disruptive cultivator whose methods the Hall elder struggles to interpret. Bai Yu is the elder's fellow senior in the lightning crisis. The blacksmith Hu Qingzi mentioned in Chapter 611 is a third, differently named person and not evidence linking the two Hu Qings. (Chapters 611, 725, 1,389–1,390)
