A candidate for Semi-Divinity

Hong wins a round-robin tournament among Sevenstar elders under one hundred, earning the sect's single place on Kui Xiao's expedition. He initially shares suspicions about the mysterious Liu Yang, then watches the newcomer reproduce pavilion techniques and admits that a one-realm advantage would not make him competitive. At the Hall of Gods trial, Zhang Xuan gives Hong one of the limited opportunities to absorb the energy required for Semi-Divinity, and Hong begins his breakthrough in gratitude.
