Han Jianqiu

Han Jianqiu is the veteran leader of the Ascendant Cloud Sword Pavilion who identifies Zhang Xuan as the successor to its founder's Gods' Sword Intent. Rather than defend his own status after losing a suppressed-cultivation duel, he makes Zhang Xuan a core elder, gives him sect resources and protection, and soon yields the sect-leader position. Biography

Testing the heir to the founder's sword

Reports that an unknown Ethereal Hall user has defeated core disciples and elders bring Han Jianqiu back to the Elder Council. Zhang Xuan is young and apparently only Lesser Pseudo Immortal, but claims to have comprehended the Gods' Sword Intent. Han Jianqiu agrees to suppress cultivation and ultimately joins four elders in testing him together, regarding collective defeat as less shameful than failing to evaluate a possible successor honestly. Zhang Xuan defeats the group and asks about the Spirit God Palace. Han Jianqiu admits what he does not know, suggests Starchaser Palace as the best remaining lead, and shows no resentment over losing.
