Du Miaoxuan

Biography
The cure at “Yang Xuan's” residence
After years of illness, Du Miaoxuan kneels outside “Yang Xuan's” residence for an entire day to request help. Zhang Xuan treats the underlying problem, and Du leaves with both his disease removed and his cultivation advanced to Tongxuan realm. The visible transformation spreads through Tianxuan's elite and helps turn an uncertain rumor about the mysterious master teacher into credible public testimony. (Chapters 140, 152–156, 166, 174)
Appearance and personality
Before treatment, Du Miaoxuan is irritable and physically burdened by long illness, yet he is willing to humble himself publicly for a real cure. His persistence and improved complexion after treatment make his case especially persuasive to later visitors. (Chapters 140, 152–156)
Abilities and cultivation
Du Miaoxuan has hearing and awareness beyond his son's lower cultivation. Zhang Xuan's treatment removes the condition suppressing him and raises him to Tongxuan realm, though the corpus gives no detailed account of his battle techniques. (Chapters 140, 156, 174)
