Ding Mu

Ding Mu is Xuanyuan Kingdom's crown prince and the royal opponent who attempts to crush Zhang Xuan with the kingdom's accumulated power. (Chapters 409–447)

Biography

Fall of the crown prince

Ding Mu uses his position, personal cultivation, and command of the Great Xuanyuan Formation to confront Zhang Xuan. He relies on the royal jade seal and the capital's formation rather than accepting an ordinary duel, escalating the conflict into a struggle over the kingdom itself. Zhang Xuan breaks through his defenses and kills him, ending Ding Mu's direct role; later chapters refer back to that downfall. (Chapters 409–447 and 763)

He is regal and forceful but also overconfident in inherited authority, assuming royal resources will compensate for an opponent he misjudges. (Chapters 409–447)
