Ding Hong

Ding Hong is a former Xuanyuan emperor who withdrew from public life after becoming the kingdom's foremost expert. He reappears to protect Crown Prince Ding Mu's cause and confront Zhang Xuan. (Chapter 440)

Biography

The royal ancestor's defeat

Ding Hong arrives on a Steelback Winged Dragon and attempts to crush Zhang Xuan through superior cultivation and the Origin Energy Palm. Zhang Xuan exploits the technique's flaws, defeats him, and leaves him badly injured. Ding Hong later presents himself to master teachers as a wronged owner whose family heirloom was stolen, but the inquiry exposes the weakness of his claim rather than reversing the earlier defeat. Appearance and personality

Ding Hong is initially an awe-inspiring elder whose words compel submission. After the battle he appears ragged and gravely wounded. He is protective of royal authority, confident in rank, and prepared to reframe the dispute before the Master Teacher Pavilion when force fails. (Chapters 440–441, 559)

Abilities and cultivation

Ding Hong is a Prolonged Longevity realm cultivator with decades of study in the Spirit low-tier Origin Energy Palm. The art has immense power, but his cultivation and lack of a teacher leave his comprehension incomplete, giving Zhang Xuan exploitable openings. (Chapters 440–441)
