Demon Cinque Beast
The Demon Cinque Beast is a proud dragon-bloodline spirit beast encountered near the Myriad Kingdom Alliance. Beast Hall experts spend years trying to tame it, only for Zhang Xuan to see through the formation and circumstances surrounding their failed attempt. (Chapters 491–499)
Biography
A failed taming and a willing submission
When the prepared taming formation attacks, the Demon Cinque Beast abandons defense and tears the coordinated group apart. Zhang Xuan intervenes, saves the beast tamers, and wins the beast's submission, after which it follows him and returns property taken during the confrontation. Later, while Zhang Xuan is disguised as Yang Xuan, a surge of his zhenqi breaks the beast's long-standing bottleneck from Clarifying Turbidity pinnacle to Consonant Spirit. Its successful taming becomes an example other beast tamers cite when they face proud spirit beasts they cannot persuade. (Chapters 493–501, 563–596, 684–685)
Appearance and personality
The Demon Cinque Beast is a large, physically imposing spirit beast with an exceptionally durable body. Its dragon bloodline makes it proud and resistant to coercive taming, yet once it recognizes Zhang Xuan it behaves with conspicuous deference. (Chapters 496–500)
Abilities and cultivation
At Transcendent Mortal 4-dan pinnacle, the beast can tear apart a formation whose combined force matches a 5-dan primary-stage expert. Its skin withstands a direct spear thrust, and its willingness to trade wounds makes conventional restraint difficult. The same emphasis on physical strength slows its soul metamorphosis, and Soul Devouring Ants remain a danger. Heaven's Path zhenqi later enables its breakthrough to Consonant Spirit, but the advancement is received from Zhang Xuan rather than achieved without assistance. (Chapters 497–501, 563–565)
