Byzantium Helios Beast is the loyal saint beast of Hongyuan Master Teacher Academy's missing principal, Zhang Yinqiu. Mistaking Zhang Xuan for an Otherworldly Demon, it first organizes Leiyuan Peak's beasts against the academy entrance examination and attacks him. (Chapters 714–718)

Biography

From hostile guardian to ally

The beast acts from loyalty rather than simple malice: it believes Zhang Xuan commands Otherworldly Demon puppets and refuses to betray the old principal even under imprisonment and interrogation. Once Zhang Xuan convinces it that he is a Celestial Master Teacher, it accepts a new contract in hope that he can uncover Zhang Yinqiu's fate. Zhang Xuan treats its injuries, gives it a compatible Ancient Ape inner core, and uses it as a combatant and mount. The pair eventually find the surviving old principal in the ancient domain, resolving the uncertainty that drove the beast's original hostility. (Chapters 714–721, 827–830, 881, and 1,075–1,090)

Appearance and personality

It is a massive ape-type saint beast with an imposing presence. Headstrong, suspicious, and exceptionally loyal, it endures beatings rather than divulge its master's secrets; after accepting Zhang Xuan, the same loyalty makes it a dependable protector. (Chapters 715–718 and 827–830)

Abilities and cultivation

At its introduction it is a Saint 1-dan pinnacle beast whose strength exceeds ordinary human cultivators at the same realm. It can command Leiyuan Peak's beasts, fight with great speed and physical force, and serve as aerial transport, but formations and stronger coordinated opponents can restrain it. (Chapters 714–721, 738, 831, and 867–881)

Relationships

  • Zhang Xuan: Initially its suspected enemy and captor, later its contracted master and partner in finding Zhang Yinqiu. (Chapters 714–718 and 827–830)
  • Zhang Yinqiu: Its original master, whose apparent death motivates its secrecy and resistance. Their blood contract ends when his body is destroyed, but its personal loyalty remains. (Chapters 749, 843, 1,075, and 1,088–1,090)
