Baiye Qinghong

Baiye Qinghong is one of the two Conferred God Kings governing Linglong Royal City beneath Fairy Linglong. She assumes that her office and realm permit her to claim a captured pill from Zhang Xuan without consequence. (Chapter 2,202)

Biography

The attempted seizure

Baiye Qinghong arrives after Zhang captures a sentient pill and declares it hers, using her authority to recast him as a plunderer. Believing Zhang to be an ordinary high-tier Celestial God, she threatens and attacks him. Zhang counters with the Great Codex of Spring and Autumn; even when Baiye draws on the Sky of Linglong's Anima of Yearning, the book crushes her body and dissipates her soul, and news of the killing spreads throughout the Nine Skies. Appearance and personality

Baiye carries herself like a queen and looks down on those she considers beneath official protection. She is imperious, opportunistic, and confident that witnesses will accept her ownership claim, but panics when Zhang's artifact exceeds Conferred God King power. (Chapters 2,202–2,203)

Abilities and cultivation

As a Conferred God King, Baiye stands just below a God Monarch and can draw the Sky of Linglong's Anima of Yearning into a defensive barrier. That power is insufficient against the heavenly force channeled by Zhang's Great Codex. (Chapters 2,202–2,203)
