Bai Chao

Biography

The fist matchup that fails

Bai ranks ninetieth in the entrance examination and is known for strong fists despite weak theory. Because Liu Yang's right-arm meridians are injured, Lu Xun expects Bai's specialty to exploit the weakness. The plan fails: Zhang Xuan's instruction lets Liu Yang meet the fist directly and force Bai to his knees, demonstrating that a favorable paper matchup cannot replace superior diagnosis and training. Appearance and personality

Bai is a confident student selected for a specific physical advantage. His shock after defeat reflects how completely the expected matchup reverses. (Chapters 217–219)
