Bei Yu is the Sea Daughter and Holy Daughter of the Demonic Cultivator Horde, a leading Nine Seas Chosen who confronts Fan Dong'er and later enters the Windswept Realm conflict.

Biography

Sea Daughter of the Demonic Horde

Bei Yu first appears as a vast sea wave rolls through the Nine Seas God World. Standing within it in a blue dress, she confronts Fan Dong'er as the Holy Daughter of the Demonic Cultivator Horde. The encounter places her at the front of the conflict between the sect's Demonic and human factions. Her divine sense is strong enough to be treated as a meaningful obstacle even by Meng Hao, and she later reaches third place on the first Golden Gate stone stele in a trial built around depth and sea pressure. That result demonstrates an exceptional affinity for the Nine Seas environment rather than simply ceremonial status. (Chapters 1071, 1077–1078)

Entering the Windswept Realm

Bei Yu joins the Nine Seas contingent sent into the Windswept Realm. Although she represents the Demonic Horde aggressively, she is not blindly fanatical: when others argue for arbitrary self-sacrifice, she objects rather than accepting death as proof of loyalty. She initially helps press the Demonic faction's claim to a mountain containing National Aura and secretly brings two old women with five extinguished Soul Lamps as protectors. The realm's thunder exposes and forces out those concealed experts, leaving Bei Yu to proceed on the same dangerous terms as the other Chosen. (Chapters 1085–1086)

Her ambitions make the realm's illusions especially effective against her. A sea of flowers shaped from desire nearly causes her to merge with a blossom and lose herself. She eventually struggles free, but the incident exposes the difference between forceful divine sense and disciplined resistance to temptation. It also sharpens her frustration at serving as a supporting figure beneath Echelon cultivators despite her position in the Nine Seas God World. (Chapters 1091, 1095–1096)

From rivalry to cooperation

Bei Yu and Fan Dong'er later defend Mount Whiteseal against Han Qinglei. Bei Yu compresses divine sense into a needle, but Han's bone armor and clone withstand their attacks. His Bone Tomb technique ages them and drains their life until both lose consciousness. Meng Hao breaks the time-based magic and restores them, changing the immediate relationship from hostility to practical cooperation. (Chapter 1096)

Afterward, Bei Yu recognizes the use of the Demonic Cultivator Horde's secret Mesmeric Rebuke by an unknown figure. Because only she, Long Tianhai, and one other Sea Realm Demon are known to have learned it, she correctly treats the discovery as a warning and refuses to rush into the cave where the user waits. She subsequently fights alongside Fan Dong'er and Meng Hao in the broader Windswept conflict, using battle itself to resist the realm's corrupting desires. She remains with the expedition through the realm's collapse and departure, her role evolving from sectarian opponent to wary battlefield ally without erasing her allegiance to the Demonic Horde. Appearance and personality

Bei Yu is introduced as a beautiful young woman in a blue dress, framed by a huge wave and carrying a cold, murderous expression. Pride and high aspirations suit her rank as Holy Daughter, and she resents being reduced to a secondary role in a contest dominated by the Echelon. She is nevertheless more pragmatic than her initial hostility suggests. She challenges pointless fanaticism, recognizes techniques before committing to a trap, and cooperates with former opponents when circumstances demand it. Her near-loss in the flower illusion shows that ambition is both her motivation and a vulnerability the Windswept Realm can exploit. (Chapters 1071, 1086, 1091, 1095–1097)

Abilities and cultivation

Sea-aligned cultivation

As the Sea Daughter, Bei Yu channels the Nine Seas environment through wave and water manifestations. Her arrival inside an enormous moving wave is an expression of supernatural presence and control, while her third-place Golden Gate ranking shows that she can endure exceptional depth and pressure. The trial's ranking is evidence of compatibility and resilience, not proof that she controls the entire sea; opponents with specialized techniques can still bypass or overpower her defenses. Divine-sense needles

Bei Yu can condense divine sense into a needle and drive it directly at an opponent. This concentrates mental force into a penetrating attack that does not rely on conventional weapons. It is especially dangerous to cultivators whose consciousness is poorly defended. Han Qinglei's clone and bone armor demonstrate a limit: a target built around Ancient Realm bone magic can absorb or resist the strike long enough to counterattack. Her divine sense is formidable, but it does not automatically overcome durable physical and temporal defenses. (Chapters 1077, 1096)

Demon Mantra: Mesmeric Rebuke

Mesmeric Rebuke is a secret Demon Mantra known to only a few Sea Realm Demons. Rather than simply striking with the user's divine sense, it turns the victim's own divine sense against them. The stronger the target's mental power, the more destructive the reflected rebuke becomes, making ordinary direct defense ineffective and causing strength itself to magnify the danger. Its scarcity is also an intelligence tool: when Bei Yu senses an outsider use it, the technique identifies a connection to the Demonic Horde and alerts her to a likely trap. The mantra's potency does not make its user invulnerable; it still requires correct application and gives Bei Yu reason to avoid an unknown practitioner rather than confront them casually. Resistance, limits, and battlefield judgment

Bei Yu has the will to break partially free of the Windswept Realm's desire illusion and later uses continuous combat to keep those desires from regaining control. She cannot do so effortlessly: the flower sea nearly assimilates her, and Han Qinglei's Bone Tomb ages her into unconsciousness until Meng Hao reverses its effect. Her strongest asset in the expedition is therefore the combination of Chosen-level power with judgment—recognizing when to fight, when to cooperate, and when an unfamiliar use of her own faction's secret art makes withdrawal the safer choice.
