Spatial Teleportation Gem

The Spatial Teleportation Gem is an ancient spatial treasure capable of opening passages between distant coordinates and separate realms. Once the supreme treasure of Xuantian Palace, it becomes the object of Zhou Weiqing's expedition because it offers a way to remove Hui Yao and Duo Si from the Lustre Spatial Realm without destroying Heavenly Jewel Island.

History

Ancient treasure and intercontinental escape

Hui Yao identifies a Spatial Teleportation Gem as the only known tool that could reduce the immense power needed to move the two dragons safely out of their sealed realm. He can provide a destination coordinate, while Zhou's Saint Energy can open the gem and inscribe that coordinate. Heaven's Expanse Palace's records then identify the surviving gem as Xuantian Palace's greatest treasure: a millennium earlier, Xuantian forces used it to escape a failed invasion of the Boundless Mainland regardless of the distance to their locked destination. (Chapters 233–235)

Zhou accepts a mission to obtain the gem before the dragons' three-year deadline forces an evacuation of Zhongtian City. He and Shangguan Bing'er cross the ocean, enter Xuantian Palace under false identities, and wait for the palace's planned Terror Sea Dragon hunt because the gem is expected to serve as the expedition's emergency retreat. By then its power has declined to three remaining activations, with no more than ten life forms carried in any one use. (Chapters 234–237, 239–242, 244–246, and 248–250)

Gift, summoning, and repair

After Zhou protects Xuantian Palace's fighters instead of exploiting their battle to steal the gem, Palace Master Dongfang Hanyue gives it to him. She later defends that decision as both repayment for his aid and an exchange for the Saint Energy he leaves with her. Zhou activates the gem against the palace only when he believes Shangguan Bing'er has been killed, using Hui Yao's coordinate to open a Spatial Chaos Rift and bring Hui Yao and Duo Si from the Lustre Spatial Realm to the Xuantian Continent. (Chapters 251–256)

The dragons then reside inside the pendant-like gem for the return journey. Its structure is close to collapse after its limited activations, but the energy released during Zhou's Heavenly King breakthrough repairs it completely and greatly strengthens its Spatial power. He later demonstrates a smaller tactical application by teleporting a hidden Demonic Dragon Lady directly into a battlefield ambush. (Chapters 256–258 and 269)

Abilities and properties

  • Coordinate teleportation: A prepared coordinate lets the gem connect extremely distant locations, including positions across continents and between a sealed realm and the outside world. Saint Energy can open the gem, while the destination coordinate must first be supplied and engraved. (Chapters 233, 235, and 256)
  • Life-form transport and storage: Before repair, the gem can sustain no more than ten life forms per activation. Hui Yao and Duo Si can also reduce themselves to fiery light and reside inside it in slumber until summoned. (Chapters 245–246 and 256–258)
  • Spatial passage creation: Zhou's activation creates a true Spatial Chaos Rift around the passage. Its dense Spatial Attribute repels the Tenebrous Demon Dragon's interference, protects Zhou as the rift's creator, and permits the two dragons to emerge. The rift remains lethally dangerous to anyone caught in it. (Chapters 255–256)
  • Tactical relocation: After its repair, Zhou uses the gem to move an already-summoned Demonic Dragon Lady into an exact attack position, showing that its use is not limited to mass escape or realm-crossing. (Chapter 269)
  • Limits and counters: The aged gem initially has only three uses remaining and a ten-life-form capacity. A sufficiently strong controlled sealing formation can prevent departure if the activator's cultivation does not exceed the controller's, though Zhou's differently purposed summoning passage succeeds after it is already underway. The gem is nearly unstable after repeated use until Zhou's breakthrough energy repairs it. (Chapters 245, 255–256, and 258)
