Black Pearl

The Black Pearl is the Nucleus Core left by a Dark Demon God Tiger from another world. After entering Zhou Weiqing, it transforms his body, awakens his Heavenly Jewels, and passes the tiger's bloodline and inherited abilities to him.

History

Arrival in the Stars Forest

The pearl falls through a spatial opening and lands near the badly injured Zhou Weiqing in the Stars Forest. It emits an overwhelming cold, flies into his mouth as though drawn by something inside him, and leaves him unconscious. Its power then surrounds him with a black cocoon, colored lights, black and gray markings, and a predatory aura. The awakening saves him from his previous injury and blocked meridians, but the first transformation is involuntary and accompanied by bloodlust. (Chapters 1–2 and 5–6)

Bloodline awakening and revealed origin

The pearl's energy continues to merge with Zhou rather than remaining a separate object. It protects him through the otherwise lethal opening of Death Acupuncture Points, alters his physique and right leg, supplies the inherited Devour ability, and produces an aura that frightens Heavenly Beasts. These effects are initially difficult to control: surges of power cause pain and violent impulses, and Zhou can only approximate how to project the beast-suppressing aura through the markings on his Demonic Right Leg. During the awakening of Zhou's fused Dragon-Tiger bloodline, the last of the pearl's power merges into him. A later vision shows its origin: after a Dark Demon God Tiger dies in another world, its pure-black core is pulled through a closing spatial rift. Zhou thereby learns that the pearl carried the tiger's essence and that what he inherited from it was its bloodline. (Chapters 131, 166, and 178)

Abilities and properties

• Bloodline inheritance: The pearl contains the Dark Demon God Tiger's essence and transfers its bloodline to Zhou, including the basis of his Demonic Change and the inherited Devour ability. (Chapters 23, 131, and 178)
• Awakening and protection: Its energy helps awaken Zhou's Heavenly Jewels and repeatedly keeps him alive while he cultivates the dangerous Immortal Deity Technique. The text does not establish that this protection would last indefinitely, and Zhou himself fears exhausting it. (Chapters 5–7, 24, and 90)
• Physical transformation: The pearl increases Zhou's stature, strength, senses, and overall physique; one later surge produces the exceptionally strong, fast, and flexible Demonic Right Leg. (Chapters 12, 18, 21, 26, and 33)
• Beast aura: The inherited tiger aura intimidates Heavenly Beasts and can suppress creatures such as Forest Direwolves. Early on, Zhou cannot summon that aura directly and must channel Heavenly Energy into the marked right leg to evoke it. (Chapters 17 and 22)
• Risks and loss of control: Early activations bring extreme cold, pain, blackouts, bloodlust, and a desire to devour nearby life or energy. The pearl grants power, but it does not initially grant the judgment or control needed to use that power safely. (Chapters 1–2, 6, 18, and 23)
