Regenesis Core

A Regenesis Core is the completed form of a Genesis Reclamation Core. The reclamation core is an empty energy vessel produced by depleted genesis-core weapons; after absorbing enough displaced reality energy, it transmutes into a crafting core capable of anchoring structures that combine physical and astral properties. History

Genesis-core weapons used against the vampires expend their unstable cores and leave Genesis Reclamation Cores behind. Jason receives a supply of these transcendent consumables and learns that they can reclaim energy from unseated reality cores or from beings and objects that have absorbed such energy. Their intended purpose is restorative, but early discussions make clear that practical methods of repairing damage to reality remain speculative. (Chapters 409, 411, 422)

Jason charges a reclamation core by using it on vampire remains and dead transformed creatures. Draining the residual energy prevents him from looting those remains, making every charge a trade between immediate rewards and a longer-term project. When the vessel fills, it becomes a Regenesis Core. Jason retains it while considering dimensional construction, although the number of cores and amount of reclaimed energy required make his larger plans difficult to realise. (Chapter 441)

Properties and use

In its Genesis Reclamation Core stage, the item draws out energy originating in destabilised reality cores. It can extract that energy from an exposed core or from people, creatures and objects altered by it, then automatically transmutes when full. The item is a collector rather than a weapon, and using it on remains may destroy their value as conventional loot. (Chapters 411, 441)

The resulting Regenesis Core is no longer described as a consumable reclamation vessel but as transcendent crafting material: the basis of a reality construct. Such constructs can bridge physical and astral functions, with dimensional vessels offered as an example. A single completed core demonstrates the principle but does not erase the project’s limits, since obtaining enough suitable energy and enough cores remains an enormous constraint. (Chapter 441)
