Administration with an adventurer’s eye

Vidal meets Jason and Farrah Hurin while notifying incoming adventurers of monster-surge protocols. Although only bronze rank, he notices inconsistencies in Jason’s disguised aura, records his suspicions, and gives the visitors practical guidance without abusing his limited authority. That mixture of observation, procedure, and restraint makes a strong impression even after Jason reveals how thoroughly he had misled him. (Chapters 454, 541–542)

The monster surge brings Vidal advancement to silver rank and multiple promotions. Liara later selects him as Team Biscuit’s Adventure Society liaison because he is respected but not personally close enough to become their partisan. Vidal accepts a role that requires representing institutional standards to people powerful enough to ignore them, relying on credibility and precise reporting rather than command. Skills and abilities

Vidal has water-based movement that lets him ride a column across the sea, sharp aura perception, and strong administrative judgment. His combat abilities are not a focus; even at silver rank, his value comes from noticing what others miss, documenting it, and navigating surge regulations and Adventure Society politics.
