Remy is an Earth portal specialist whose rare transport ability makes him valuable to the Network, secretive factions and eventually Jason’s allies. His instinct is self-preservation, but the information and mobility he provides repeatedly place him at the centre of dangerous operations. (Chapters 307, 358, 960–981)

Biography

The reluctant gateway

Remy first helps extract Sebastian and Miranda Ellis from Australia, then portals Jason during the global monster crisis. Years later he transports Geneva’s gold-rank faction, only for Jason to uncover Remy’s hidden ties to Marie Finnegan by reading his panic. Remy cooperates because he fears both sides and understands that escape is no longer simple; after entering Jason’s astral space, he continues as the portal specialist supporting a team operation under Neil Davone’s protection. His mobility repeatedly saves time, while his associations turn him into an intelligence source as important as his portals. (Chapters 307, 358, 960–981)

Skills and relationships

Remy can open portals over continental and eventually planetary distances, but range, passenger load and a substantial cooldown constrain the power. Stretching a gate for multiple gold-rankers leaves him visibly depleted, and he refuses to linger when stronger enemies might arrive. (Chapters 307, 358, 960–964)
