Raythe

Raythe is the ancient prime vessel of the great astral being that governs time, known as the Keeper of the Sands and Keeper of Moments.

Biography

Steward of time and the Cosmic Throne

Raythe quietly observes Jason because his bond with an avatar of doom touches the damaged Cosmic Throne and therefore the stability of reality. When the danger can no longer remain hidden, she and Velius ask him to restore the throne. She also kills a diamond-rank messenger sent after him, demonstrating that her role is not merely advisory: attempts to distort time or interfere with the larger repair meet decisive enforcement. During Jason’s astral ascension, Raythe remains after the great astral beings depart, checks his recovery, and guides him back toward his new universe. She later returns to explain dangers Dawn could only hint at and teaches Jason the subtleties of avatar use. Her help is bounded by cosmic obligations and by time’s unstable causality, so she often gives only the information Jason can safely act upon. (Chapters 869–872, 977–980)

Skills and abilities

Raythe is an elf and near-transcendent diamond-ranker whose long service as a prime vessel gives her extraordinary aura concealment, dimensional travel, combat power, and authority over violations involving time. She can destroy diamond-rank threats, but she is still a mortal vessel rather than the Keeper itself, and disclosure or intervention can be restricted by cosmic agreements and temporal consequences.
