Pelli

Pelli is the long-serving mayor of Palisaros and an elderly, distant member of the Rimaros royal family. A gold-rank core user with little combat training, she governs the quiet Arnote settlement where Jason establishes his home. (Chapters 460, 462, 508)

Biography

Mayor during a monster surge

Pelli helps Jason obtain land and dismisses formal deference from her royal descendant Vesper Rimaros, preferring the familiar “Aunt Pelli.” When the Adventure Society and royal combatants mobilise elsewhere, she becomes Arnote’s only remaining gold-ranker. Her rank lets her detect major threats and coordinate defenders, but her non-combat abilities prevent her from serving as the island’s sole warrior; she therefore asks Jason and other specialists to protect settlements during the monster surge. Palisaros survives repeated crises, leaving Pelli to reflect that Jason’s arrival has made her once-sleepy town considerably less quiet. (Chapters 460–465, 508–512, 554, 575)

Skills and relationships

Pelli has gold-rank senses and authority but openly lacks adventurer training. Her strengths are continuity, local trust and civil coordination, and she makes up for combat limitations by identifying threats and placing capable defenders where they are needed. (Chapters 508–512, 554)
