Biography

Earning a place on Beth’s team

Mose meets Jason during a spirit-coin expedition, where his fire vortex bomb destroys a pirate skimmer and his practical questions help the group assess whether to fight the approaching sand barge. The shared danger creates mutual respect, but Mose still has to train hard before Beth accepts him into her team. Once admitted, he joins the Reaper trials, regroups safely in the central city and helps the assembled adventurers absorb Clive’s explanation of the Builder cult. His progress turns a powerful specialist into a trusted team member without removing the defensive weakness of his glass-cannon style. (Chapters 80–90, 153, 168–174)

Skills and relationships

Mose combines fire and wind into highly destructive area attacks, including a vortex bomb strong enough to wreck a skimmer. That output comes with limited resilience, making formation and protection from Beth’s team important to his effectiveness. (Chapters 80–83, 174)
