Miranda

Miranda refers to two separate women. Miranda Ellis is an aggressive Network politician who conspires with the Lyon faction, while Miranda Ramos is an officer serving as second-in-command at a Vitesse fortress. (Chapters 280–317, 475)

Biography

Ambition and betrayal

Ellis is promoted from Melbourne operations to Sydney’s Steering Committee because political connections make dismissal difficult. She presents sympathy to Kylie Chen while secretly recruiting her, supplies instructions that free Sebastian and helps arrange the sabotage of Jason’s aircraft. When the plot fails, Ellis escapes Australia through a sequence of portals, but Remy later reveals that Sebastian struck her and kicked her from a high rock in Kakadu; she is never seen again. Ramos is unrelated, appearing years later as a trusted fortress officer beside Kerr and logistics chief Luis Garzón. (Chapters 280, 301–317, 475, 964)

Skills and relationships

Ellis’s power is institutional access and manipulation rather than demonstrated combat. She exploits trauma, committee authority and covert contacts, but her contempt for allies and portal support cannot protect her once Sebastian turns on her. (Chapters 302–307, 317, 964)
