Mahk

Mahk Den Kahla is a gold-rank messenger who awakens in a strange transformation zone and encounters Boris Ket Lundi. More cautious than many of his kind, Mahk is repeatedly unsettled by Boris’ behaviour and plans but accepts his leadership under mounting pressure. (Chapters 795–804)

Biography

A reluctant ally of Boris

Mahk begins as a territorial messenger trying to understand an unfamiliar environment, then meets a gold-ranker whose undignified manner conceals overwhelming confidence and leverage. Boris persuades Mahk to surrender control of his territory and brings other messengers into the same hidden arrangement. Mahk’s questions expose the risks Boris dismisses: he doubts that the soul forge can be extracted during dimensional reintegration and later asks whether they should contact Jason as undead armies gather. He nevertheless remains with the plan, choosing Boris’ forceful certainty over the dangers of acting alone. (Chapters 795–804)

Mahk is a gold-rank messenger with the aura strength, flight and territorial authority expected of his rank. His most visible trait is strategic caution; he recognises gaps in research and alliance planning even when he lacks the influence to redirect Boris. (Chapters 795–804)
